We are well underway on a project that has two modern bathroom remodel projects in one. This project featurs a complete transformation of 2 bathrooms on the second floor of the residence: the newly remodeled Master bath will feature custom wall mount vanity with quartz countertop, custom shower glass enclosure, teak shower floor, soaking tub, Hansgrohe polished plumbing fixtures, solar electric skylight, and Calcutta Gold marble with electric radiant floor element. The second bath will feature custom furniture grade vanity, new tub, updated flooring tile, and newly designed shower glass enclosure.

As before, we featured this rendering as a great example of what we can show a client prior to construction of what their finished product will look like. We’re well on our way!

We are just finishing up the teak by applying several coats of Epifanes brand varnish. This brand is a high build varnish that does not require sanding between coats- it is actually a product meant for Yachts and a life in the shipyards! As such, it will guarantee a long life of quality finish in the shower area. We will follow up with several top coats of Epifanes matte finish to lower the luster a bit and bring further protection.

In the second bathroom, we’ve created an “ebonized” finish on the wood. Ebonized means that the wood is painted or stained to a black ebony finish, which was a popular aesthetic style for furniture in the late 19th centry (and now!).
