Improve your homes aesthetics and function without breaking the bank.

Improve your homes aesthetics and function without breaking the bank.

Let’s face it. Your time is valuable and each day it seems to become even more limited. Improving your home can seem like a daunting task and a costly endeavor. However, it doesn’t have to be. There are many easy ways to improve the form and function of your home without

1. First, we will start with the room where Americans spend most of their time. The kitchen has, and probably always will be, the most frequented area of the house. For a few hundred dollars, you can switch out the faucet, upgrade the lighting to brighter, more efficient fixtures, and bring in new cabinet hardware. Should you feel up for a challenge, a fresh coat of paint can give your cabinets a clean and fresh look.

2. Moving to the bathroom, we can also find simple upgrade ideas. Upgrading the shower curtain with a curved curtain rod can make your shower feel larger. A larger mirror will also help a small bathroom feel bigger. By installing a larger, flush mount mirror you can give your bathroom a sharper, more modern look. Again, new hardware can also make for a nice upgrade. Look to designer catalogs for ideas which match your bath’s current motif.

3. The living room can be upgraded rather easily as well. Beyond a fresh coat of paint, you will want to reduce clutter to enhance this room. An ottoman with a lift-off cover or built-in drawers, can provide storage space for magazines, books, toys and other items which can clutter your living room. By examining shelves with a minimalist attitude, you can make your living room more welcoming.
