We focus primarily on residential remodeling and operate in Boston and it’s suburbs. Our typical projects include mid to high-end major kitchen remodels, kitchen additions, second-story additions, and whole home remodels. Production Carpenter

A production-level carpenter typically works under a Project Manager, who oversees the Carpenter’s growth and training through hands-on execution of mid to high end residential remodeling projects. The goal is for a Carpenter to eventually grow into a Project Manager within the structure of our company, progressively taking on more and more responsibility as their skill set grows.

 

Duties and Responsibilities


 

1. Read and interpret plans and specifications
2. Perform all carpentry labor as needed, frame to finish.
3. Order, inspect and verify deliveries for accuracy in quantity and measurement.
4. Evaluate alternate methods of construction for cost efficiency and quality. Provide and recommend solutions.
5. Performs tasks per the job schedule to keep things on or ahead of schedule while not sacrificing quality.
6. Through high quality work and excellent customer service, obtains high client satisfaction survey ratings and creates raving fans who are referring NEDC to new, potential clients.
7. Performs all duties outlined in the job description for the Production Carpenter and any other assigned by the Lead Carpenter or Production Manager.
8. Continues to get educated in the field to further develop skills which the company will fully support and pay for.
9. When the need for direction becomes minimal, the Production Carpenter will begin to assume Lead Carpenter responsibilities on smaller, less complicated jobs. The Production Manager or Lead Carpenter will closely direct and support the coordination of these projects, until such a time as the Production Carpenter is promoted to the position of Lead Carpenter.

The Ideal Candidate


 

The ideal candidate would have experience doing residential remodeling and new construction, would be a skilled carpenter and have a strong desire to expand his or her knowledge and experience to take on more responsibility and eventually run jobs themselves. This person would also be friendly, upbeat, organized and able to work well with others.

This is a full time job position and will be employment at will. This job is based out of Boston but is performed within Boston and it’s suburbs, typically within the 95 Corridor.
We do drug test

 

Salary/Compensation


 

As an employee, you would be expected to be paid $22-28 per hour, depending on experience. Benefits include 7 paid holidays per year effective once employed, paid vacation, health benefits, SIMPLE IRA, and gas reimbursement for on the job driving. Continuing education is paid for by the company, including certifications (i.e. RRP, OSHA 10 and 30). Customized benefits packages are available.

Senior Designer

The Senior Designer typically works under the Design Director, who oversees the Senior Designer’s growth and training through hands-on execution of the design of mid to high end residential remodeling projects.

 

Duties and Responsibilities


 

1. Leads pre-design consultations with clients
2. Assists in sale of contracts
3. Completes Pre-design project setup including style analysis, site analysis and research, documents existing conditions
4. Executes Schematic Design including creation of program, design of floor plans and basic elevations, and design boards
5. Executes Design Development including creating finish schedule, developing floor plans, and completing drawing sets
6. Executes Construction Documents including the specification of finish items and establishment of lead times, drawing revisions, coordination of 3D renderings, and required change orders.
7. Executes Construction Administration including turnover to construction team, ordering finish schedule items, and assisting construction team as appropriate.

 

Skills

The Ideal Candidate


 

The ideal candidate would have an architectural background and at least 4-8 years of experience, half of which is wood frame (single or multifamily). This person would also be friendly, upbeat, organized and able to work well with others.

This is a full time job position and will be employment at will. This job is based out of Boston but is performed within Boston and it’s suburbs, typically within the 95 Corridor.
We do drug test.

 

Salary/Compensation


 

As an employee, you would be expected to be paid $60-75k annually, depending on experience. Additionally, there is a production-based bonus available for this position after 6 months of employment. Benefits include 7 paid holidays per year effective once employed, paid vacation, health benefits, SIMPLE IRA, and gas reimbursement for on the job driving. Continuing education is paid for by the company, including certifications (i.e. RRP, OSHA 10 and 30). Customized benefits packages are available.
