BRAND MANAGER

This position requires some familiarity with design & construction and a strong interest in helping people solve their space problems!  Experience with sales, managing websites, creating marketing campaigns, and using Customer Relationship Management (CRM) programs are all needed to be successful at this job.

  • Executive and time management skills
  • Ability to coordinate multiple functions of lead generation, lead qualification, and direct sales of our services to prospective clients
  • Willingness to learn marketing and sales methods and to train additional staff on these, with a strong interest in providing a top-notch customer service experience
  • Must have a vehicle and be willing to travel to prospective clients’ homes for consultations and follow-up sales interviews
  • Able to work both independently and as a team member to generate sales, always ensuring the project is the right fit for the client and the company, so everyone wins
  • Experience with MS Office Suite and familiarity with SharePoint and Infusionsoft

The Brand Manager is often the first point of contact for our clients, and this person needs to be caring, curious, interested in discovering how NEDC can best fulfill the prospective clients’ vision for their ideal home, and persistent in following up on and documenting details of the remodeling project so these are well-communicated to the rest of the team.

DESIGN DIRECTOR and DESIGNERS

Have you always been interested in the unified approach of the Design – Build process? Our clients are diverse and each project offers unique design problem solving opportunities. Our integrated team of designers, estimators and construction specialists work together to reach the highest and best result for each client. 

DESIGN DIRECTOR

The Design Director is responsible for leading the design effort and maintaining design standards and image. Specific responsibilities will include:

  • Manages the Design Department, including staff of Designers and their production
  • Oversees design work and presentations, maintaining company brand image
  • Introduces design process to prospective clients
  • Maintains client communication to ensure homeowner satisfaction
  • Provides design direction and support
  • Monitors projects, including design quality, schedules and budgets
  • Attracts, manages and develops design staff
  • Contributes to company business development goals
  • Maintains awareness of industry trends, educates staff and modifies practices

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE

  • Graduate of an accredited design school (architecture, interior architecture, interior design)
  • 10+ years progressive experience working on building design projects (custom residential preferred)
  • Architect, registered with the Commonwealth of Massachussetts, preferred
  • Design-build delivery method and construction experience a plus

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Comprehensive knowledge of building design industry (architecture, interior architecture and/or interior design)
  • Expert designability and design detailing skills
  • Comprehensive knowledge of construction documents, workflow and procedures
  • Working knowledge of building systems, codes and zoning procedures
  • Excellent verbal, written and graphic communication skills
  • Ability to manage and lead design staff
  • Working knowledge of budget preparation and proven ability to manage projects within budgetary constraints
  • Open to learning and participating with company management system, office policy and departmental development
  • Strong AutoCAD skills
  • Knowledge of MS Office Suite, SharePoint, Office 365, Gantt Charts preferred

 

DESIGNERS

The job of the Designer is to “Lift Spirits with Spaces” by developing a build-able design through our “Complete Planning” process, fulfilling the client’s vision of how their space will best serve their needs.

We are continually searching for top talent at all levels of Design – so a candidate who is a good fit for our company would be placed based on their skill level and relative ability to independently manage a full design project.  Mentorship is provided by our in-house Licensed Architect to keep a talented Designer moving upward in their skills and experience.

Some of the skills required for this job are:

  • Excellent design aesthetic with creative solutions to space challenges
  • Proficient in the use of Auto-CAD, SketchUp; familiarity with Revit is a plus
  • Able to work well in a team setting and willing to collaborate and follow a successful system
  • Familiarity with materials and methods utilized in residential construction
  • Some wood frame construction and residential remodeling experience
  • Experience in selections, modeling, documentation and detailing knowledge
  • Client management experience, with excellent communication and inter-personal relationship skills
  • Open to learning and willing to train to improve and increase performance skills
  • MS Office Suite and familiarity with SharePoint and Office 365 preferred
  • Must be a self-starter and willing to take full responsibility for creating a positive client experience that meets and exceeds expectations

PROJECT MANAGER

New England Design & Construction is looking for an experienced Construction Project Manager to join our growing team. This position is responsible for overseeing 2-4 high-end residential remodeling projects and will be managing subcontractors as well as a team carpenter.

The job of the Project Manager is to execute high-quality construction projects that are completed on time and budget, all while maintaining the quality of life of our clients.

Some of the skills required for the job are:

  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Ability to read and interpret construction documents and specifications
  • Familiarity with materials and methods utilized in residential construction, with at least 5 years of construction field experience
  • Must be self-motivated and willing to follow a successful system
  • Professional attitude with a desire to deliver a high-quality result
  • Ability to manage clients, subcontractors, carpenters and vendors
  • Ability to manage a budget and time schedule commitments
  • Strong communication skills
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and clean driving record and own vehicle
  • Literacy in Microsoft Word, Excel and Project Management applications
