Cambridge whole home gut remodel
In love with the location, it was time to refresh the home
This family had lived in their home in Cambridge, Massachusetts, for several years and loved its location. They wanted to improve its layout and appearance, so they decided to remodel the exterior while keeping the interior as it was. They had a choice between hiring a traditional architect or going with the Architectural Design Build approach, which combines planning services with the construction process, following the Architect as a Master Builder tradition.
During the COVID-19 pandemic, they embarked on a comprehensive renovation, completely overhauling the interior of their home from the ground up. The goal was to create a warm, unique, and beautiful family home.
Ultimately, the family opted for the Architectural Design Build approach with NEDC. They appreciated the detailed finish selection, comprehensive project guidance, and the convenience of having a company provide a full turnkey service.

We met with individual architects and a few others before we met with Dave (Supple) from NEDC. It became really clear from the start once we met with Dave (who spent a long time talking with us at our kitchen table understanding what we were looking for) that this was going to be a smoother more organized process working with a Design Build company and not having to manage multiple people.
Working with Design Build really just made it feel quite organized and low stress. The process couldn’t have been better!”
