When buying green cleaning supplies you either want to save money, or you actually want to preserve our environment.

But something you have to realize when buying green cleaning supplies, major companies like to advertise things like “ALL NATURAL” or “ENVIRONMENTALLY FRIENDLY” ” and “ECO SAFE” can be very misleading. There’s no actual regulation or standard for these kind of things.

Look at labels for more specific Eco-friendly ingredients. Look for ingredients like alcohol, coconut or other plant oils, or plant oil disinfectants such as rosemary.

You could also make your own cleaning supply. Some simple things you may have lying around could work such as water, soap, baking soda, vinegar, lemon juice, and borax can pretty much clean most things around the house for getting rid of odor and stains.

Lemons are great for adding antibacterial and antiseptic properties. Great as a natural bleaching agent. Also very handy to clean and shine brass and copper.

Vinegar is a natural disinfectant and it will also deodorize, a good all purpose cleaner on anything but marble.

Baking soda is excellent for dissolving dirt, mildew, and grease. Handy to remove grime and dirt.

So next time your out read your labels CAREFULLY and choose the right brands or even try cleaning with your own supplies
