3 Rooms- 3 Easy Updates

Improve your homes aesthetics and function without breaking the bank.

Let’s face it. Your time is valuable and each day it seems to become even more limited.           Improving your home can seem like a daunting task and a costly endeavor. But it doesn’t have to be. There are many easy ways to improve the form and function of your home without spending a lot of money or time. These 3 easy updates will help you bring your home to life and make it the space you always wanted. We’ll go room to room in your home, showing you how easy updating your home can be!

1. First, we will start with the room where Americans spend most of their time. The kitchen has, and probably always will be, the most frequented area of the house. For a few hundred dollars, you can switch out the faucet, upgrade the lighting to brighter, more efficient fixtures, and bring in new cabinet hardware. Should you feel up for a challenge, a fresh coat of paint can give your cabinets a clean and fresh look.
2. Moving to the bathroom, we can also find simple upgrade ideas. Upgrading the shower curtain with a curved curtain rod can make your shower feel larger. A larger mirror will also help a small bathroom feel bigger. We recommend a larger, flush mount mirror to give your bathroom a sharper, more modern look. Again, new hardware can also make for a nice upgrade. Look to designer catalogs for ideas which match your bath’s current motif.

3. The living room can be upgraded rather easily as well. Beyond a fresh coat of paint, you will want to reduce clutter to enhance this room. An ottoman with a lift-off cover or built-in drawers, can provide storage space for magazines, books, spare linens, and other items which can clutter your living room. By examining shelves with a minimalist attitude, you can make your living room more welcoming.

They kept us informed on the project, maintained the schedule and addressed our concerns in a timely manner. Putting an addition onto our house with three small children was stressful enough, but New England Design & Construction was able to keep the disruption to our lives at a minimum. It no longer feels like just a house to us. It’s a place we are excited to call our home.” –D.W. Natick, MA

Built- In Perfection

Maximizing storage space was the key to this design. Every inch of wall space was utilized.
Drawers, shelves and cupboards encompass this multi-use room. What was once just a storage
room, has now become a charming office space and a comfortable bedroom. Converting from office
to bedroom is as easy as pulling down the murphy bed and pushing in the office chair. State of the
art suspension makes this bed finger light! Granite counters, provide an elegant contrast, while
custom maple cabinets give the room a warmer feel. Accent lighting in the built-ins give a sharp,
modern look. Large countertops and drawers have been arranged along one wall to provide a
working office space.
