Good Morning everyone, I hope everyone has enjoyed their Thanksgiving, and of course, had the best meals ever.

Now that Thanksgiving has passed time for the Christmas decorations! It’s THAT time of the year. You can check out some of our other pasts articles on DIY Christmas articles but, Besides all those decorations and lights we put up, there’s something that people hardly ever consider. When I enter someone else’s house, the first thing you immediately notice before anything else is…. SMELL!

Smell is a powerful tool and you can use it to draw people to other rooms and around the house. There are so many different things you can do to make your home “smell like Christmas” Things like the smell of cookies, the smell of mint, pine, cinnamon, oranges, and so much more!

Something to consider are some potpourri. Potpourri is a mixture of various natural fragranted plant materials such as, dried rose petals, cloves, mint, jasmine, lavender, orange, and lemon peel. It’s incredibly easy to maintain, the most common way used is by placing them in a glass bowl. I usually place mine in the dining table because I want to keep things fresh for when I eat.

The next thing tool you can use are cinnamon brooms, brooms that are completely soaked in cinnamon and the smell lasts for a while. I would put it right at the entrance of the house. Although in my opinion they look out of place, they are definitely worth the money. You can choose to hide it or some people love to utilize it into their space and decorate around it.

Also using scented candles are great because not only do they provide you with light, they look amazing at night, and they can be placed in various holders and lanterns. And I guess with technology these days…. you have candles that smell like Christmas eve….. haha.

but, Candles are great to place as a decorative piece, for example, on the coffee table, by the window sill, by the entry way.

Incenses are also great because they are lightweight and portable since they come in sticks. And they are one of the safest ways to use aromatherapy.

So for this season, besides all the decorations consider what kind of aroma your house gives. Is it the natural aroma from your baking and cooking? Or will it be some scented candles and incense….

So much to consider and prepare for this Christmas!
