bridget harrissBridget Harris is New England Design & Construction’s newest addition to the design team. She attended GWU for a BFA in Interior Design & Art History, and most recently worked with Habitat for Humanity as a construction crew leader. We’re really excited to have her as our new Design Assistant, and wanted to take am moment to introduce her to all of our clients and community. Her strong design background will be a great asset to us!

Where are you from and how did you get here?

I grew up on the North Shore. In 2008 I moved to Washington D.C. and from there to Colorado. Recently, I decided I missed family, friends and familiarity enough to make my way back to New England.

How would you define your professional style?
Work hard, stay organized and exceed expectations.

Who or what is your biggest inspiration?
There is inspiration in everything. Simple as that.

What is your design philosophy?
Layer texture, color, size, patterns, etc. to create harmony and intrigue in a space.

What is the last place you saw that made you think, “I wish I’d done that!”?
Mother nature. I wish I created that!

What does value mean for you?
Something that that has value is something that is making my life better–friends, family, education, travel.

What is the best advice you’ve ever received?
Be present.

Tell me about what your life will look like in 10 years:
I can’t say for sure but if my dreams come true I will have a line of textiles, wallcoverings and other soft goods and you will be enjoying them in your home.

What’s your spirit animal?
A bald eagle–“reach higher and become more than you believe you are capable of.” Or at least a wise, old medicine woman told me this was my spirit animal while I was traveling through Hawaii.
