At NEDC we do high end and luxury architectural design build across Boston and MetroWest with a focus on sustainable home design.
We were founded in 2005 and last year moved to Lexington as our services continue to be in demand and we continue to expand.
We are now a creative team of 25 or so architects, interior designers, project managers and artisan builders. Our process pays respect to the legacy of the Architect as a Master Builder, and we are in the business of people and their environments—designing and crafting beautiful homes that uplift spirits and forward the hopes and dreams of our clients and their families.
We take our clients from initial concept through full interior design, architectural planning and artisan build followed by a five-year warranty on all of our work.

NEDC is a truly unique design-build firm. David is an absolute visionary and has designed an incredible process to help families build their dream homes in a thoughtful and respectful way. NEDC does what many other firms are unwilling to do — take time to get to know your family, push back on initial design ideas to ensure the true reason for a request is explored, provide transparency on pricing and process, and take pride and responsibility in their work. NEDC completely transformed our house into the perfect home for our family. Were there speed bumps along the way? Sure, when isn’t there when undertaking a complete home renovation while living on site. But every step of the way, NEDC was there for us and did their absolute best to make our dream home a reality— and they absolutely nailed it.

New England Design and Construction went above and beyond in their project for me. It was discovered 8 years after the project was completed that something had a defect in it. (Something related to bathroom tiles and a steam shower.) Anyway, they came back and completely retiled my entire bathroom, FOR FREE. I can’t even believe it. I will always recommend NEDC for their integrity, quality of work and belief in their product.
I can’t imagine another design and build firm that is as professional, reliable and talented as NEDC. The team is very personable, passionate and just plain nice. And the end result is outstanding. Our entire family (pets included) is extremely satisfied, now and for the future, with what they created for us.
Warranty
Even though i was well past my warranty end date, NEDC responded amazingly to my bathroom project. They were timely, responsive and went above and beyond. Best in the industry.
Mission Statement
The two rooms that we love the most in our house is our primary bedroom suite and our kitchen, both done by NEDC. The spaces are timeless in their design and decor and they are really designed to maximize the flow of our family.

I was not sure if I needed to go with an architect and then hire a designer when i was a new home owner. I was a little concerned that the price seemed a little higher for a design build firm. But after working with NEDC and hearing from friends and family who had renovations done, I realize we totally made the right decision. Dave and his team at NEDC are the best in the business.

Mission Statement
We have been planning to remodel our 1960s kitchen for many years, but have always found a reason NOT to: budget, time, hassle, etc. Now, halfway through our project, we are 1000% sure that having this space completely remodeled will change our lives. We will be happier, more organized, and more likely to entertain! Lifted spirits for sure.

Areas Of Satisfaction
The design team was just fabulous. Caitlin is friendly and easy to work with. Both Aaron and Mike made us feel very comfortable throughout the construction project. We particularly liked Mike’s text message check-ins, as they helped us to navigate having our family living in the home while the project was underway.

Both Caitlin and Mike deserve a raise. I legitimately cannot imagine working with anyone else. We were so pleased.
