New England Design and Construction has turned twenty!
Thank you to all who braved the cold to join us last week at 342 Bedford Street in Lexington, MA. Trade Partners, clients, friends, and family gathered at our new headquarters to enjoy live music, drinks and delicious wood-fire pizza from Juliana’s Catering.
Our very own Design Director and DJ Steve Daly hit the turntables bringing a personally curated music playlist that was vibrant and perfectly complemented the live music performance by NEDC Project Manager, multi-hyphenate and international heartthrob, the one and only Paul Ledoux.
This has been an incredible year of expansion for NEDC as a company–we are now a vibrant team of 25 architects, interior designers, project managers and artisan builders. Incredible people whom I am honored to have on my team.
We decorated the 50+ foot Christmas Tree on the property–it took two massive boom lifts and twice as many lights as we anticipated! But it came out beautifully…

I had the wonderful opportunity to give my first TEDx talk!
And 342 Bedford Street in Lexington is our new home! We have renovated one unit into temporary headquarters while undergo the full planning and restoration of this unique historical property.
The property is 3.9 acres, built in 1773 by Deacon Nathan Reed, who was also the original owner. Reed was one of the original minute men who faced the British in the first battle of the American Revolution and his name is on the monument in Downtown Lexington. The property has had several additions done over 250+ years including the barn–it was a federal colonial, and a major renovation in the 1840s added several Greek Revival features, which was the style in vogue at that time.
I am extremely excited to honor its legacy through a beautiful restoration which will give it a new life and meaningful future! Spanning four acres this lovely property will now house NEDC’s headquarters, my home and a small regenerative farm.
I have a love for this particular area of Massachusetts and its history, having attended the iconic Battle of Lexington with my children which is absolutely the experience of a lifetime.
