Beautiful Beverly, MA kitchen renovation submitted for Contractor of the Year Award 2013.

Recently, NEDC has nominated a few of it’s projects to receive various awards. We are proud of the work that we do and feel that others should see it!

This project features a major kitchen remodel in Beverly, MA.

The client’s vision was to maintain the functionality of having segregated areas for prep and clean up while at the same time unifying the kitchen in an open plan with a more modern aesthetic. Transforming three spaces into one larger space welcomes family and friends to congregate in this area of the home, while being able to cook and clean at the same time. The clients desired to have the kitchen be more of a community spot where the family spends most of there time. Therefore, this called for superior appliances, fixtures, and finishes. One of the main accent features is the custom designed bi-level island where guests can sit while the cook prepares and serves meals; the other is the fireplace that was strategically placed behind the guests to keep them warm during cooler days and nights.
Maintaining and reusing some of the architectural details was an important factor in their design. We were able to salvage the existing door and window molding, hence the darker wood, which keeps with the integrity of the home. We also were able to re-use the top sash of the windows and the panes themselves that flank the range and hood appliances.

Below you can look through the whole project; take a peek at the kitchen before we started doing any work, see the floor plan of both the old and new kitchen, and glimpse the renderings that we provided to the client prior to construction against the constructed result! Pretty close, huh?
