Our team at NEDC is always willing to help! Recently painters volunteered their time to complete a project for the Mission Hill Neighborhood Housing Services. This is an apartment building in Mission Hill that is dedicated to very low income seniors. The house was originally built in 1915 as a single family home, but throughout the years was converted into 6 separate units. Currently, it is housing people over the age of 60 whose income falls below 30% AMI.

NEDC teamed up with XL Painting as well as Donovan Painting to fix the minor repairs at the home. Together on November 16th, they nailed down loose spindles and floorboards prior to sanding and painting the porch railings, spindles, wood floorboards, stairs, columns and the front door. The black cement supporting wall and part of the building facade below the windows was also painted.

At the end of the day, the residents at the home were very grateful, and happy to receive our help. A  special thank you goes out to XL Painting & Donovan Painting for their time, help, and hard work during this project! Here are just a few photos below.
