It’s true…there are many positives to living in Wellesley, MA.

From my view, here are some of the main positives to Wellesley, MA when it comes to purchasing or remodeling a future home in this beautiful town.
Overview
Wellesley, MA is arguably one of the nicest towns in all New England to call home. With a population of nearly 30,000 this affluent Boston town was initially settled in the 1600s.
Wellesley has a footprint of 10.49 square miles and is bordered by Newton, Weston, Needham, Dover and Natick. It is a beautiful area physically—with ample land, green space, beautiful trees which change color in the fall, and no sense of crowding. Wellesley has an affluent, educated, and homey feel to it.
Wellesley is located approximately 17 miles southwest of Boston–about a twenty-minute drive on the 1-90 depending on traffic.
Logan International Airport is easily reached – providing direct access to much of the world. Logan is the largest airport in New England and the 11th largest in the nation. Logan airport is approximately 27 mins from Wellesley by car—again depending on traffic which in Boston can be quite severe at times.

Jejes Coffee House

Jejes is a wonderful stand-alone, specialty coffee shop. They are the new kid on the block, having launched in 2020. But they are WONDERFUL – hands down. They are also kosher certified which is extremely unique.

Best Brunch in Wellesley, MA
The Cottage, Wellesley

A solid option for Brunch, especially if you have several children as I do. Straightforward and tasty – I go with the steak and eggs and the Brioche French Toast. But there are multiple options, which are delicious.

Best Dinner in Wellesley, MA:
Juniper, Wellesley
13 Central Street, Wellesley, MA
Mediterranean fare at its finest. Juniper is confident, doesn’t take reservations, and delivers like a boss every time. I can’t recommend them highly enough.
Everything is truly delicious and there are many options – I recommend the butternut squash soup, seared scallops, and Lebanese fried rice—simply out of this world.
And don’t forget the warm date cake for dessert….
Wellesley Real Estate Market
There are currently 39 homes on the market in Wellesley, MA ranging in cost from $850,000 to 16.7M with a median sale price of about 1.5M. Homes generally last for about 10 days on the Wellesley market and the Wellesley real estate market is considered quite competitive.

Wellesley is a beautiful, upscale town to call home, with ample property space and lovely free-standing colonial-style homes. Wellesley is special and one can feel it. There are ample boutique shopping venues, delicious eateries and a distinct small-town feel that is not too small, offering both privacy and comradery.
The schools in Wellesley are excellent, and the higher education scene offers the presence of Wellesley College, Babson College and a presence of Mass Bay Community College.
Wellesley is regularly ranked among the top 50 wealthiest towns in the US.
