Under the guidance of our Lead Designer Brad Cashin, NEDC spent some time collecting the top ten coolest faucets on the market right now. Here are our picks for any new design project:
1. Absens Concealed Fixtures – As if it’s not cool enough to be Italian, why not conceal yourself, because mystery is cool too. Use when only no lines are clean enough lines.
2. Franz Vegner Industrial Chic Line J1 – Sleek and whimsical are a deadly combination.
3. Jason Wu Single Hand Lavatory by Brizo – One that I have been fortunate enough to install for a client, simple and black are always classic.
4. Toto Soiree Widespread Lavatory Faucet – Pound for pound likely my favorite faucet on this list. It’s simple and elegant and gorgeously proportioned. It’s the house guest everyone loves that doesn’t feel the need to call attention to itself.
5. Dornbracht Meta. 02 Two Hole Mixer with Handspray – Three minimally sculpted elements each performing a task that assists in your food prep and post meal cleaning. In the age of the pull down faucet, there is absolutely something to be said for a stand-alone hand spray that’s able to stand-alone.
6. Perrin and Rowe Pair of Basin Pillar Taps with Crosshead Handles – Perfect for those of us that only need hot water to shave or cold water to brush our teeth, but quite possibly the bane of any of those in need of lukewarm water. While this style continues to fall further and further out of fashion functionally, it’s still a phenomenal aesthetic in the correct space on the correct wall mount sink.
7. Kohler Moxie Shower Head and Wireless Speaker – Perhaps aesthetically it’s not necessarily something to sing about, but as a shower time operatic, it absolutely is, and with a blue tooth speaker integrated into the shower there really isn’t any reason for anyone else not to be either.
8. Gessi Goccia Ceiling Mounted Spout – Best in black, and your plumber will hate you, but oh so worth it.
9. Rocky Mountain Hardware Lav. Deck Mount Faucet – Clean lines in cast bronze are an undeniably eclectics dream. Olympus lever, or we can’t be friends anymore.
10. Aboutwater Wall Mounted Single Lever with Handle – Wall mounts need love too.
