For those family members who love luxury items, a rosemary peppermint sugar scrub is a great idea for a gift. Using ingredients you can find in the kitchen (or grocery store) you can make a sugar scrub for mere pennies that is just as good as what you can find on the top shelf for hundreds! You can use scents other than rosemary and peppermint as well; lavender, vanilla, and coconut are also readily available, or any essential oil you can dream of!

Ingredients:

    • 1/3 cup coarse sugar
    • 2 tbsp extra virgin olive oil (you can use coconut oil here for a wonderful result, I just didn’t have any)
    • 6 drops of rosemary essential oil
    • 6 drops of peppermint essential oil
    • a few rosemary sprigs (optional)
    • a container to put it in

1.) Get your ingredients together!

4.) Add 6 drops each of peppermint and rosemary essential oil (adjust to your personal taste)

5.) Chop up some fresh rosemary to add (optional)

6.) Stir it all together, and put in a container (I use a small patterned jar from JoAnn Fabrics)
