1) Placing a large mirror on a side wall is a great way to enlarge the appearance of a room
2) Painting walls a light color (like lilac, cream, mint, etc.) is a nice way to add clean character to a room without over powering the space
3) Painting a single wall a bold color (like red, turquoise or purple) is an excellent way to punch up a space and making it more playful
4) Reupholstering furniture is a cheap way to transform the appearance of a room without spending a ton of money on new furniture
5) You don’t need to spend a fortune on pre-made artwork; painting something yourself, framing fabrics, and hanging family photos are just a few creative ways to personalize your space without going over budget
6) Colorful plants are an excellent way to add color and life to any room for just a small price
7) Thrift stores, estate sales and garage sales are great places to find good furniture; you can always re-stain reupholster or paint it to your liking.
