Something interesting came up while I was having lunch with a friend of mine just yesterday. Started talking about how he wanted to remodel his kitchen but wasn’t sure if it was the right time to…. You know what i said? NOW IS THE PERFECT TIME! According to Consumer Reports now is an excellent time to redo your kitchen and is also one of the most popular places to remodel in your house.

Right now there are so many outstanding deals on everything from kitchen cookware, countertops, cabinets, and so many more financing options on appliance.

So when planning on remodeling keep in mind of the kind of budget you have. You need to know what really needs to be changed or what doesn’t. This really helps out with your budget. Obviously if your countertop is fine and intact you should keep it. Then maybe you can create some kind of motif to match the colors of the things you’re keeping. This shouldn’t be rushed at all. You want this done right and cost effective because The National Kitchen and Bath Association calculates the average kitchen remodel costs between 10 percent and 20 percent of the home’s value. So take your time, and browse the internet for different styles and colorware, visit actual showrooms and home centers, places like IKEA showcases some good ideas and inexpensive remodels. You just don’t want to end up changing your mind because the things you already purchased “seemed” good together. You also want to match finishes to the style of the house. There’s nothing more awkward than having like a country rustic style kitchen in a modern house, Know what I mean? Try and keep it with same kind of style and finishes so your house looks more complete rather than just something YOU personally like.
